Not sure where to start when it comes to getting documents notarized?

Kendra Marroquin

Here are 15 common questions clients often ask me—and the answers you need to feel confident and prepared!

  1. What documents do you notarize?

I notarize a wide range of documents, including powers of attorney, affidavits, real estate documents, wills, and more. If you’re unsure about a specific document, just ask!

  1. Do I need to bring anything with me?

Yes! You’ll need a valid, government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport) and the document you want notarized. Make sure the document is unsigned until you’re with me.

  1. How much do you charge for notarial services?

I follow Washington State regulations for notary fees. Mobile appointments will incur travel fees, which can be found on my website: https://www.girlfridaynotaryservices.com/fees.

  1. Do you offer mobile notary services?

Absolutely! I come to you—your home, workplace, or wherever is convenient for you. If mobile notary services is still not convenient enough, I also offer online notarization appointments no matter where you are in the US and beyond! Let me make the process as easy as possible.

  1. Are there documents you cannot notarize?

Yes, I cannot notarize incomplete documents, vital records (such as birth or death certificates, which must be certified by your county), or any document that violates notarial law. If in doubt, I can review your document to confirm eligibility.

  1. What type of ID is required for notarization?

You’ll need a valid, government-issued photo ID, like a driver’s license, passport, or state ID. It must be current and have a clear photo.

  1. Do you provide witnesses if needed?

If your document requires witnesses, it’s best to bring them with you. I don’t typically provide witnesses but can advise on how to arrange for them. There will be additional fees for each witness provided by me.

  1. How long will the appointment take?

Most notarizations take about 15-30 minutes, depending on the complexity of the document. I’ll always respect your time while ensuring everything is done correctly.

  1. Do you have experience with this type of document?

I’ve notarized a wide range of documents, from legal affidavits to real estate deeds. Whatever you need, I’ll ensure it’s handled with precision.

  1. Do you follow Washington State notarial laws?

Absolutely. I stay up-to-date on Washington State’s laws to make sure your notarization is valid and compliant.

  1. Do you have flexible hours?

Yes! I offer evening, weekend, and holiday availability to work around your schedule. I know life doesn’t always happen between 9 and 5.

  1. What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept various payment methods, including cash, credit card, and mobile payment apps. I’ll confirm this with you when scheduling your appointment.

  1. Are you pet-friendly?

Yes! If your furry friends are around during our appointment, I’m happy to meet them and give them treats with your permission. I might even leave with some pet hair as a souvenir—it’s all part of the fun!

  1. Can you explain what happens during the notarization process?

Of course! I’ll verify your ID, ensure the document is complete, and witness your signature before applying my notary seal. Simple, professional, and secure.

  1. What happens if there’s an issue with the document after notarization?

Let me know right away! While I can’t change a notarized document, I can advise on next steps if adjustments are needed. If I make an error on the document I will make it my priority to fix the error free of charge.
